Lic. Gabriela Conde
I am Argentine-born but lived overseas internationally for over 20 years, which helped me acquire experience and be exposed to many cultures and nationalities. Having made seven intercontinental moves with my own family, my area of expertise in cultural integration and adaptation significantly grew with each transfer. International life has its advantages and disadvantages, but many times can be challenging and feel overwhelming. In order to help my patients develop a healthy emotional identity which will allow them to see the advantages of an international life and experience such diversity in a positive, constructive manner, I employ different techniques, theories, tools, and practices. All of these strategies guarantee that my patients will make the adaptation process successful.
Family and Parent Orientation are also two areas I work with frequently, often giving workshops to parents seeking counseling and support for dealing with adolescents, setting adequate limits and boundaries with their children, sexual education, and helping them to develop active communication methods to better interact with their children.
